Activity Description:
Yin Yoga emphasizes deep release with long holds which promote greater circulation of energy through the energy channels of the body and allows the back, hips, shoulders and legs to fully release. Yin Yoga targets the deeper connective tissue and promotes flexibility, suppleness of joints and conscious relaxation, and is a wonderful compliment to more "Yang" styles of yoga. This quiet and contemplative form of yoga prepares the practitioner for deeper meditative practices. All are welcome.
INSTRUCTOR: Jenny Holsman
Since 2003, Jenny has developed a dedicated yoga practice under the guidance of yoga teachers at Inner Vision Yoga, grounded herself in a daily meditation practice and balanced herself with regular doses of Yin Yoga with the help of her teachers. Jenny is completing her 200-hour Teacher Training at Inner Vision Yoga and will be starting her supplemental 300-hour training in April. To her Yin classes, Jenny brings her heart and passion for the practices of yoga and meditation. She encourages mindfulness of the breath, gratitude for the chance to learn what our bodies have to offer in the present, and the sheer joy of being able to move and share the practice with fellow students and teachers alike.
